When he tries to help a young girl, Yi-hwa, from falling off a cliff, he skips his journey back to his planet and stranded on Earth for the next four centuries. He has an almost perfect appearance, enhanced physical abilities that involve his vision, hearing, and speed, and cynical, poor views about humans. Over time, Min-joon is forced to take on a new identity every ten years, because his human appearance never ages.
Currently, he works as a college professor. With only three months left before his long-awaited departure back into space, he meets Cheon Song-yi (Jun Ji-hyun), a famous Hallyu actress who suddenly becomes his next-door neighbor. Slowly, he found himself entangled in Song-yi's crazy and unexpected situation, and found that he looked like a young girl he loved in the Joseon era. Min-joon tries to distance himself from Song-yi because he has to leave the planet, but often finds himself failing to do so.
However, Song-yi is caught in a dangerous game by Lee Jae-kyung (Shin Sung-rok), brother of Lee Hee-kyung (Park Hae-jin), who has been his friend since middle school and falls in love with him. Yoo Se-mi (Yoo In-na) is Song-yi's childhood friend who likes Hee-Kyung since middle school. Realizing his love is only one-sided, then Se-mi surrenders his feelings to Hee Kyung and begins to focus on his career as an actress. When Jae Kyung tries to silence Song-yi, Min-joon finds himself saving him several times, and finally, the neighbors fall in love with each other. But Jae-kyung is far more dangerous than Min-joon suspected, because he hurt Se-mi's brother, who is investigating the murder case of the actress in which Jae-kyung is actively involved, and he also mysteriously begins to lose control of his strength.
